Harry Shortway, a devoted 32-years resident of Vernon, stands as a pillar of community service and leadership. His extensive lacrosse coaching career includes notable roles such as the head coach for the Vernon Township High School boys’ varsity lacrosse team and coaching the first women’s lacrosse team at Sussex County Community College, earning him recognition as the New Jersey Herald Lacrosse Coach of the Year in 2017.

In addition to his coaching accomplishments, Harry’s over two-decade-long career in law enforcement showcases his commitment to public safety, marked by multiple life-saving responses.
